So I chased that problem down for weeks. The clutch I purchased from a well known company received clutches from a vendor and the fingers were never adjusted properly. A trip to a clutch manufacturer in Baltimore and they adjusted them (for free. ) My clutch has been perfect since. So.... Check the clutch fingers.
