Bad day today I almost died from a drug reaction driving home by myself. I just took the new stronger antibiotic leaving Wal-Mart for my COPD with in 5 miles I could no longer drive and my whole body turned into bright red hot itchy rash. My body was like on fire I left the truck in the lane of traffic with my door open and flashers on laying on the seat starting to have a hard time breathing. After a few cars just drove by and not stopping a Local Tribal Member coming up to sell stuff to my daughter Shelby stopped to help. He had a friend and he jumped in my truck and took me to the hospital! Just a few minutes more my whole throat would have shut off and killed me. Man this scared the crap out of me big time!! So know I have a new stronger one to start tomorrow. That bottle of 7 pills cost me $100.00 to buy! In the morning I will eat my food and drive to town sit at the hospital and take one of those pills. This way if it happens again it won't take so long to get there!!! The Doctor wants me in the hospital if this does not work and stop it. If you ever take a pill and feel your body burning you better start heading to the hospital. This is something nobody want to have happen to them it will kick you butt big time setting you on fire first then kill you shutting off the air all in less then 20 mins! Never had a reaction to antibiotics before like this and never want to do this again. It took almost 4 hours for the hospital emergency room to stop the Analectic Shock reaction completely. I am so burnt out bet I take the rest of the day off. So it was a good morning the reaction did not kill me this time. I have had 2 drug reactions in the hospital for other things but nothing like this one today. Tomorrow another new drug they want me to take will be done in the emergency waiting room and I will sit there a hour just to be sure. The newest antibiotic is Levofloxacin 500mg. This one can kill off Anthrax and other horrible things plus put you in shock like the last one did?
