just an FYI when reading bolt descriptions from the 40s. it will have a number in it like 2 or 3 all by itself. That is NOT the grade of the bolt. It is the thread fitment (how tight they fit in nut). the grading system as we know it now came later on. bolts on these trucks were described back then as "mild Steel' which is about the same at a grade 5. never use anything less than a grade 5 in any automotive application. its the federal standard
