The images your phone produces are equal to or better than most SLR film cameras that were made in Germany (or Japan). But it is frustrating. Even high-end name brand clothing, tools, boots, etc., are either imported or made from imported material. This is the way it is and it's too profitable for big corporations to be willing to change, so I guess we just get used to it.
