When I worked for a plumbing co my boss only bought proto tools through napa, said it was the best balance for price/quality/warranty. Detent ball fell out of my old 1/2” ratchet so I went to napa today - no more service there. Kid says Proto is part of Stanley-Black & Decker now, no counter service. He tried the 1 800 support number and the answer is mail it to TN and take your chances. No thanks. I guess the non-snapon shade-tree mechanic option (other than Home Depot cheap stuff) is back to Craftsman (?).
