Here we have a "must see in person," 1 of a kind, Dodge Power Wagon 100% original truck, with only 8,500 original miles. This is truly one of a kind because it was a fire truck, garage kept, in service for 53 years as a brush truck for a small town in upstate New York, that the truck was their pride and joy, and meticulously maintained.
The truck was so clean when we got it, that it almost didn't need the frame-off restoration, but it was done any ways to bring it back to looking like the day it came from the showroom. Minus the 2 stage PPG paint, the truck was so original that it still had the original tires from 1956, and still has the original seat vinyl!!! (tires have since been changed. About the only thing not original besides the paint).
230 cu. in. flat head 6 cylinder, 4 speed transmission, 2 speed transfer case for 4x4 high and low range, heater box, and spot lights, as well as a 12 volt electrical system - all the bells and whistles lol!
The doors close like the day it was made. The bed is like new condition, as well as the tailgate.
No bondo anywhere! The bed is a third series bed, which came on these trucks in late 1956, as well as the synchronized 3rd and 4th gears in the trans.
The fact that this truck is 100% unmolested, and it being an actual northeast truck, and having zero rust it is truly one of a kind!
We don't want to sell this beautiful piece of history, but it is not used enough, and we really need the space in the garage.
