I forgot to ask...is it possible that the rod end doesn't need a boot or other covering? Reason I ask is because I think it came without anything when I bought it, but I could be wrong. That was over 15 years ago, and I just don't remember. I do have some vague memory of having a boot split when I installed it, but I don't remember if it was the boot for the NOS rod end or the boot from the previous, worn-out rod end. I think I would have replaced the boot if it was the one with NOS rod end, so I don't think it came with one.
