I am sure the pto is from a syncro tranny. I never even gave a thought that the gears would not mesh. I phoned Vintage Power Wagon before I went ahead with this and they told me all I needed was the spacer when I asked them if I could match the newer one to the old not syncro tranny. I should have realized.
