Bump steer is caused by an angled drag link, so it's length changes as the springs compress.

But those boxes are easy to find, and somebody here did do that, claimed there is no interference. But mounting it up that high does mean your drag link in not level, so bumpsteer?

Though for some suspension lift kits. they space the steering arm up a couple inches from the knuckle. I don't like that, too much leverage against the bolts, so looseness can happen.

My fav, that I have never done, is the usual saginaw box mounted on top of the frame, in front of axle, with a M37 idler at the OE box location. This design gives freedom of angles for column, eliminates any potential bump steer. Plenty of room to use the later OE bell joint that isolates the column from chassis movement. And is inboard enough that a horizontal pitman wouldn't interfere with tire travel.
