Speaking of using studs, the Pilothouse Knowledge website has a download of the Pilothouse truck repair manual. The manual has a pic of using studs when installing and removing the third members from the axle housing. I used studs when I swapped out my 4.89’s to 4.30’s on my 1/2 ton WC. Will be using the same procedure shortly when I swap out the 4.30’s for a set of 4.10’s.
