Yes, that is correct. Although I would not do that because this will cause the belt pulley to sit way under the rear valance of the pickup box. There may or may not be an issue with belt clearance. It is better to find one of the elusive adapters that Tom mentioned. This will place the belt pulley out away from the tailgate more like the positioning of an original New Process belt pulley. Also, the adapter will need to be machined instead of the belt pulley keeping it original if it is to ever be sold to a Ford tractor collector.
