Hi Steve.... Guess the power Wagon World is a small one. Just turned 72. Born and raised in Islip Terrace now living in Seaford. When I first saw 'FH' Fair Harbor on Fire Island came to mind. Same scenario; ferry or personal boat access only, etc.....but knew it couldn't be. 'Jerry' tipped me off as to where you were located. I don't know if you've been to the 'Island' recently....Wall to wall traffic. All what L.I was known for...Potatoes, Ducks, and clams is gone and being replaced by high density housing.
SCPD recently installed a new chief and commissioner. I know a number of guys that retired about the same time as you did....Ralph Zanchelli...Mel Cohen....Paul Herrle....and Richie Koop come to mind quickly...and others....Don Howe. Maybe your paths had crossed.
I was fortunate to find my Power Wagon in your old backyard....New Suffolk. Running condition and registered.
Back to topic. I think Flemings product line is great, but like I said...'shipping'. I was thinking of going with nominal 2"(1 1/2) wood decking and rabbeting the ends to use along with the flanged end rails.
