I was thinking about that. The main concern is that neither type have a channel to locate the top insulator so the bulb contacts stay in the correct position. I'll get it figured out. I was thinking with all the housings of this type out there, a straight plug in should be available. If it isn't then I can make it work, even, as a last resort, I have to solder the wires right to the bulb. Tom's Robert's item looks the best so far but I have heard on this forum many times that Robert's stuff only works with the their repro tail lights. I've emailed them already.
