I forget now exactly, my 1953 had a dome light and I seem to remember they just used the switch on the light fixture itself, a flip lever affair. They had it mounted above the rear window. Had chrome trim around it and was rectangular in shape.
I don't remember if they had door jam switches or not to automatically turn on when the door was opened?
Now, my 1966 has a dome light and an engine bay light. But both have a push button switch on each light fixture and the fixtures are round in shape. Don't know if they are original to the truck or not?
