Ok...so this is about as bad as it gets.
My work truck is a 2001 Ram diesel. It's a big bad work truck. Women & young children cry when it starts up.
When I bought it, it came with those rediculous round bars that are used for wee guys to get into big machines. I told my wife they had to go but I'm just so busy at work...no time to fire up the torch.
I mean really...why would a guy buy a 4x4 with tons of ground clearance & then install such things that would get you high centered in a Costco parking lot going over a large curb?
So the bar on the drivers side has been getting looser & looser. I guess it doesn't like my 260lbs...I mean after all they were designed for guys weighing in under a buck & a half. I thought about sticking my head under & having a look but truthfully...why?
So today, I'm driving the wife to work & stop for a coffee on route. As I go to get back in the truck, the back of the bar breaks loose! So wife's safely in the car...luckily I'm wearing my carhart's. I climb under & start bending this thing back & forth until the front of the bar breaks off & I can jettison this cheap piece of junk. So I get in the truck pleased as punch..."what an improvement!" Looks better, drives better...I mean it's what a bad truck should be now...on the drivers side.
So I swing in to the station to fuel up, all the while continuing the rant to my wife. "The bar on your side is going to...you're a big girl...BC motocross champ a few years back...I'm sure you can get in without the sissy stick."
So at that I jump up to pump in 20 gallons of diesel & fall flat on my face!!!!
:)
Forgot about that darn bar not being there anymore.
:)
That's right...laugh it up.
