I don’t know the background but I’ve heard people use that term for a homemade log skidder made out of a truck. Local guy used to make them out of military dodges - I saw one of his when I was in high school. Looked around for it much later but somebody scrapped it. It was a waste of a truck but kind of a neat piece of history too. I still see a few left made out of cckws and 1.5 ton IHCs.
