Test drives are how we got the WC53 working. And I've heard that its also how Rolls Royce developed the Merlin engine. Run it wide open 'till it failed. Fix that and do it again.

What I do to get things in perspective, is think of the trip on a scale of fuel tank fill-ups. For this last trip it was "Can I run the truck through two fuel tanks of gas without an issue?" Then I realize that's not so daunting, and go get myself in over my head.

Where in Calif. are you? We grew up down there.
