Nice trip and how brave. My buddy and i went to a swap meet and he was saying hgow he did not want to drive his truck to the CA PW Rally (270 miles all freeways) because it is not that comfortable to drive. my only experience was a 1940 Plymouth truck in the 70s and it wasn't bad to go on a day trip. My body was a lot younger too! I have put my assembly setbacks aside and am finishing putting the fenders,etc as I do want to go to the CA rally it's 60mile for me and many back roads. I want to drive it in a 20 mile radius from my house for a couple months to shake out any bugs. I did the same thing with my 56 Chevy then took it over the Sierras to Reno. Performed flawlessly, but my test driving did shake out a poor radiator.
