Jim Lee picked quite a weekend to go. The weather will be a lot of fun. I was listening to the local weather expert/professor and he said Friday/ Saturday there would be Pacific cyclone passing to the west of us and will make landfall to the north on Vancouver Island. It is not a strong storm and is the dying remains. We are seeing winds and rain from this system today. Jim saw a bunch of snow and pass closures from this yesterday.
Sunday/Monday we will get a Pineapple Express which will pass just to the north of us. This a atmospheric river of warm air and rain. We will see lots of rain in the lowlands and lots of snow in the mountains which Jim will have to drive through. We could get some decent winds from this also.
I would have loved to drive my carryall along with Jim. However, I am not willing to expose my truck to the road salt and idiot drivers on the passes. I have too much money and time in it to risk an accident or encourage rust. Remember it was just a year ago,on that same pass, that my daughter was almost killed in an accident caused by an idiot driver who ran her off the road and never stopped. She is still recovering but did manage to start working part time after 11 months.
