If you're talking about the bare block itself, it's about 160 - 165 lbs. I weighed a 230 block and it was just under 150, and I figure the 265/251 block is about 10% heavier, since it's about 10% longer. I haven't weighed a manifold assembly, but I guesstimate it weighs about 35 - 40 lbs. If you are talking about a complete 265 engine, with head, oil pan, crankshaft, cam, valves, tappets, oil pump, flywheel, timing chain and sprockets, water pump, front brackets, pulleys, etc., then I estimate it's between 600 - 700 lbs. When I had my 251 shipped to me (to turn into a 265), I told the shipping company either 800 or 850 lbs, to be on the safe side.
