I use it everywhere but on the oil pan gaskets. I do not remember what it is called at the moment, but I use the special thick gasket prep for oil pan gaskets that allows you to coat the gasket and stick it to the underside of the block, and not allow the gasket to move or fall off while you wrestle the pan into place. I definitely use it on head gaskets and I have had no leaks on carburetor gaskets except where the old carb parts are warped and do not mate correctly anyway. I usually spray enough on the gasket that when I tighten the two parts down correctly, some of the copper sealer starts to weep out around the edges.
