If you want your steering gear to stop leaking, you need to take it apart check all bearings bushings etc. Make a new housing bracket gasket using the 916083 wheel bearing adjusting nut wrench as a template or make one that has a diameter of 2.75”. When installing the housing bracket to the steering gear housing, use Permatex #2 or similar. Finally throw away the shaft oil seal and retainer and purchase a metric oil seal. The number for this seal should be found in the PIF section. I did this to the steering gear in my 1/2 ton WC and since last year when I did it not one drop of 90WT has dripped out of the steering gear.
