Ok I have a 51 PW that is in very good shape. I got it that way. I kept it original because it was so clean. Yes I have done a lot of mechanical work. I made two changes that were not original. One I put front disk brakes and a vacuum booster. The other I put seat belts in. I have kept all the original parts that I took off. Safety won out on those two items.
I also have a WC53 Carryall. It is restomodded. People before me had replaced the engine, transmission and vetted the interior. I returned the body to original except for the color. The seats and interior are replacements the electrical system is totally new and up graded. It has a V8 and a PW transfer case. Axles and etc are original.
So I have one of each. I kept the PW original as it was too clean and complete to mess up. The Carryall was already partly modified and missing lots of parts so it is lightly modified with the body being as original as possible.
