The announcements have only stated HD Dodge moving back to the US and the Saltillo Truck Assembly Plant builds more than just HD Trucks:
Products: Ram 1500 (Regular Cab and Crew Cab), Ram 2500/3500, Ram Mega Cab, Ram 3500 Chassis Cab, Ram 4500/5500 and DX Chassis Cab (Mexico market).
Remember back in 2014 they considered adding a third plant to meet demand, the re-tool in Detroit likely addresses the demand rather than a third plant.
In October 2016 CEO Sergio Marchionne apparently confirmed a capacity for the retooled Sterling Heights Assembly Plant of about 330,000. But they expect demand after the 2019 re-design to grow 25 percent to more than 400,000.
