Pull all of the input and output shafts out as assemblies and you will be able to see the shift forks. Be careful when you pull these assemblies as they pilot together at their ends, male and female, with loose needle bearings separating them to rotate at different speeds to each other. You will want to have a way to catch the needle bearings on perchance they do not all fall inside the case.

Even if all is well inside with the shift forks, you really have not wasted any time in the disassembly as disassembled is the best way to replace the oil seals anyway and to get the bearing preloads correct during assembly.

I think you should have it apart in a half hour or so.

Earlier you mentioned not being able to shift it into neutral as well as low range. Keep in mind that there really is no true neutral. It is just that you can move the shift fork to the point where neither gear is engaged and that is kind of a false neutral as there is no detent to maintain that position.

You would not want to use this false neutral to tow the truck with either the front or rear end off the ground. You would soon have gears grinding away at each other without a detent to hold them apart.

Collect the oil you drain from the case and watch for chunks of steel.

You are welcome to email me with something "Power Wagon" in the subject line. I do not check email every day though so it can take a while for me to answer at times.
