I will try to contact John. The problem with the 6x6 is that on slippery roads the rear tires tend to break free easily, because each on is carrying half the weight. It was a known problem when they were in service, which is why they were experimenting with lockers at the end of the production run. One slick rock or decomposed granite it's not a big deal, on wet grass, mud or snow it's a whole nother story.
