Hey Greg. I do not see any way a rear locker, limited slip, or selectable locker could cause binding in the transfer case. I have never experienced any handling problems when driving with a rear locker - other than one must be aware that when one wheel looses traction that they both will most likely loose traction at the same time - assuming the surface under each tire is identical. If you forget this, have a heavy foot, and/or get careless, both tires can spin either during acceleration or deceleration causing the back end of the truck to drift "downhill" because of lack of the rudder effect from a non-spinning tire.
