I have an all original never modified 1933 Dodge pickup that I am rebuilding the front suspension on. I notice that the front leaf springs are not perfectly parallel. The outside to outside dimension on the front of the springs where they mount into the frame is narrower than where they are mounted into the rear shackles by two inches, or 1 inch per side.(so they kind of taper in towards the front) I did talk to a few old mechanics who said this is common design on many vehicles even into the early eighties. Anyone ever run into this?
