I started burning veg oil in my Cummins converted crewcab in 2006. I liked it so much, I quit my job and went to work for the biodiesel board, so I could help create better access to this fuel for everyone. I'm still driving my truck with 430,000 miles on it, and we've put another 250k on an '06 Jetta TDI. Combined with the reliability of the Cummins, I don't feel like messing with carburetors anymore.

I've got grid tied photovoltaic panels on my barn. They make great electricity, but batteries are not for me. Nature stores solar energy in fats and oils. I don't need a battery to power my truck on solar energy.
