Ha. I used to think my kids enjoyed getting spanked. :) Yes, some trucks seem that way.
I was not as methodical or scientific about the process as everyone else. I used a spray can of lubricant with the little plastic tube and shot in both ends of the cable and where it was physically accessible, then I shot some on the pivot points at the heater valve. Works great.
