A Survival Guide is actually the Dodge Power Wagon Power Train Survival Manual, 1946-1968. There are two parts to the book. The first part uses edited Dodge illustrations to identify currently available bearings and oil seals for all three transmissions and PTOs, transfer case, axles, winch, rear PTO shaft and pillow block, rear belt pulley, and brakes. The book identifies these available parts with current part numbers (such as Timken or MRC bearing numbers, or CR and/or National oil seal numbers), so you can saunter into yor local parts house like John Wayne and tell your parts man EXACTLY what part you want, and if he doesn't believe you, you can SHOW him exactly what part you want.

The second part of the book lists (no picture in the second part) all the bearings and seals shown in the first part, along with wear sleeve (speedi-sleeve) numbers for each oil seal. It also contains several pages of engine, ignition, electrical, chassis and brake parts, as well as tools unique to working on your flat-fender Dodge. Parts are identified by both NAPA and CarQuest part numbers, so you don't have to do a lot of translation work with your parts guy.

The book is in it's sixth revision, as I update it every few months to add new part numbers. It costs $20.00 postage paid ($23 if it is going out of the US). If you want one, send a check or M/O to: Greg Coffin, 1156 East 4th St, Loveland, Colorado 80537

Joe, thanks for letting me plug my stuff here, and thanks to everyone that has purchased books from me in the past. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Greg
