Dave stopped by my house with it and a six-pack enroute to Helitool and then California. It had a lack of power on hills. I scrounged up another coil and that cleared it right up. He also kindly dropped a core transmission of at Cirillos for me.

Here's an honest impression from a third party. The truck is nice. The paint on the cab looks to me to be original. No butchery. The bed needs a minor amount of work. Like a minor bit of rust removal and spot painting. (Don't worry, the steel is thick.) The rest of the truck is fine, and I'd leave it alone and run it the way it sits. If I was looking for a classic Dodge dump truck, this would be the one.

This is the perfect truck for a Dodge enthusiast with a long gravel driveway or road or small farm to have.
