I do not think that you are immune. No one is. My PC is OK through this attack. Only because I access my hotmail account via a browser and not Outlook which the virus uses. I also am very dilligent. I will delete any suspicious email without a second thought (which helps but does not make me immune). Yesterday I spent over an hour scanning and manually checking out my PCs.
Get a Macintosh and you will miss 95%+ of the viruses. Most are written for PCs. The current one from what I can learn is looking for the winnt or windows directory to dump its nastys. Gee for some reason Mac does not have these directories plus the files it drops will not work.
I actually use both PCs and Macs, both have their strengths and weaknesses. People writing viruses are going to go for the big impact and with the number of PCs out there that is obviously where they will hit. With Mac at less than 10% of the market that is not a big target for these people.
