Folks,
Been out shopping for new "meats" for the WC-54. Need suggestions and some kind of idea on price range (United States, Midwest).
Want something that's good on wet pavement - need al the brake-ing power and traction I can get. All season radials. I know I need tubes & flaps.
She won't be doing much, if any, off-road driving, at all. 8 ply = D weight rating, 16 inch combat rims, P265's are on it now (Wrangler AT's). I'd like to get something bigger in circumference - not for height, but for lower engine R.p.m.s at given speeds.
SO my three factors are safety for road use, price, and additional circumference. What is/was the outside circumference on the mil issue tires?
Also, can combat rims be spin balanced?
