Any partsperson worth his/her 'salt' can match a set of points, or an old timer can cross reference the OE tag number thereby giving all the component numbers. Also, the distributor doesn't care if you are running 6 or 12 volts, after all, you should be using a resistor on a 12v system anyway. Once you have figured out what parts the unit requires, save the part numbers for next time.
