I have a 100 pound capacity presure blaster. Right from the begining I have had feed problems. Its NOT wet air as I am running 3
water traps/filetrs. The media in the blaster is always dry as a bone.

The problem is you cant blast for more that a few minutes and the flow of media stops. You have to open the feed valve more or apply more top presure or kick the blaster side. If your unlucky, so much media flows that it plugs the nozzle and down the hose. I have used all different types of media, Black Beauty, Glass Beads, Ground Glass, Fine Filered Play Sand in fine, med, course its always the same.

The piping and 1/4 turn valve that controls the media flow into the hose is 1/2 inch.
Would it help to change the pipes and valve to 3/4 " feeding the 1/2 inch heavy hose which is 10 feet long. I am running 90 psi with a 10 hp compressor.

Any one have these problems and how did you correct them. Thanks for your thoughts before I go nuts.

And its Snowing in the Adirondack Mts of NY.

Paul
