Sean:

A lot of people have changed their PW and WCs a lot. The parts are interchangeable and people grab what they need. As an example, on my 1942 WC the side radiator cowl pieces and grill come from a civilian PW. I want a winch and the I would have to cut the original pieces to do that. So I have the originals stored away. I also have a transfercase out of a 63 PW with transfer case mounts from a 6X6. Most people would think that the truck is "stock". The nice thing about the PW is that they were built over such a long period and with only minor changes that parts from many years are interchangeable.

I would check your frame serial number and see if it matches your tag on the body. I would also look and see if parts have been swapped out. Look for differing paint color under the current paint job. You never know what you will find.
