I have never experienced it first hand, but I have been told that you can move coolant through a radiator too fast to the point that the coolant does not stay there long enough for the heat to be removed. I may have missed it but I do not see any reference to a water pump. Could it be turning to fast at the rpms required at 50+ MPH?
