1949 Dodge Power Wagon, B-1-PW-126, Serial # 83914179
History: The Power Wagon started life as a Brush Fire Truck out West in I believe Nebraska, thus the reason for it’s very low mileage. Mileage shown is 5,747. Previous owner firmly believed it was accurate. I purchased the truck out of Idaho. From its condition, it could well be. 2 Owners before me removed the fire equipment. Owner before me replaced the bed, matching the paint on the Cab, and replaced gas tank +.
Truck is very solid, only corrosion is slight surface. I went through it doing all standard maintenance and tune up items including Voltage regulator, battery, plugs, points, filters, etc… etc….. Stripped old tires, shot blast cleaned, and powder coated wheels, and replaced tires this summer. I did not replace cable on front winch as the seal on the shaft needs to be replaced, and have not got to that.
Needs some minor issues dealt with: The headliner needs to be replaced, and gas gauge and wipers not functioning.
With exception of the bed, truck appears to be all original, with its 230 Flathead Six engine.
This is one solid truck.
