The water pump grease that I use is GREEN and comes in a drop in tube for a standard Stewart-Warner Alemite grease gun. Painted the grease gun RED due to lack of green paint. My 1950 Allis-Chalmers WD tractor has the original water pump (complete with a Zerk fitting) that is still in good condition. My other tractor (1976) with a water pump without a Zerk is on its THIRD water pump, go figure.
