Me too - almost wrecked on a long trip using it as cruise control when I was 17. Fell asleep, woke up and the truck was still driving and headed for a concrete barrier. Luckily 40 mph gives a little reaction time.
Have also used the throttle control when loading bales in a big field, self-driving truck.
