When i did my Labrador trip with my WC53
Carryall the ride was very hard. The rear suspension felt like it was welded to the frame. I contacted Betts Spring in San Leandro, ca. They designed rear springs for a max load of 750 pounds. Once installed the Carryall rode as well as any new truck. I did have Ford Explorer bucket seats which made a huge difference.

Since she was diesel powered with a NV-4500, road speed was not a issue. Click the link below, scroll down to the album Trans Labrador 2005. The Carryall ran great other than the stiff rear suspension. It was a fun trip.
