Along the same lines as Joel's suggestion, a 5th - 7th generation F-series pickup, is about as bland as you can get. Common as dirt. If your breakdown, any mechanic should be able to work on it, and get parts.
My Pop has 1970 F-100 modified with 3/4 ton suspension. It still runs but his daily driver is a Dodge diesel flatbed.
