Here is the schedule of events for the 38 souls attending an anyone that wants to hook up with us out on the highways and byways:

Friday - Gather at my house in Morgantown, WV. Make sure all the trucks are in good working order. (We installed new rear springs on Keith Wolfe's truck this week and repaired the frame on mine). After a hearty lunch, we will head southeast to Cathedral State Forest, one of the last stands of old growth Hemlock trees in the east, for a nice little hike. Then, it's on to Don Tucker's watering hole on Route 50 near Redhouse, MD. We will arrive at Blackwater Falls State Park around 5pm. Dinner at the lodge. Optional music at the Purple Fiddle in Thomas.

Saturday, we will head for Top Kick's Military Museum in Petersburg, WV. He has over 30 vehicles, including many nice Dodges. BTW - He tells me the whole thing is for sale! After lunch in Petersburg area we head south for Seneca Rocks and Seneca Caverns. Those who are up for it will hike up to an observatory on Seneca Rocks. Others can go underground at the caverns. We will head back to Blackwater Falls for a wine and mead tasting party with wines from around the world and mead from right here in the Mountain State. Saturday night, the adventurous among us can head for the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston for a haunted tour of the largest cut sandstone building in the east and long-time mental "hospital".

On Sunday we will head further south through Elkins to Cheat Bridge to ride the Cheat Mountain Salamander Railroad to the old logging town of Spruce, that was accessible only by rail. We will dine onboard the train. Afterwards, some folks will head home and others will continue. If the weather is clear, we will visit Spruce Knob, the highest point in WV, for a 360 degree panoramic view. Dinner at Canaan Valley State Park.

Monday morning we will head for Dolly Sods Wilderness Area and Bear Rocks Nature Preserve for some of the most beautiful scenery of the trip. Then, it's homeward bound, all too soon.
