I am reading this "thumb press fit" from three different Dodge flathead six rebuild manuals, for rods with bushings. One of the manual says 0.0000 - 0.0003" clearance but then says it should be a "thumb press fit" so it seems contradictory. Another one lets you deduce that the clearance should be 0.0000 - 0.0004" and still says "thumb press fit." One is the 1949 Dodge Truck shop manual, one is the M37/M43 230 Engine and Clutch rebuild manual, and one is the Chrysler Industrial engines manual.
