W200 t-case shifter boot

So, I've looked and looked and am reaching the reluctant conclusion that my '68 W200 may never have has a shifter boot for the dual stick transfer case levers. Can't find anything online.

Any advice from the collective wisdom here? Hard to imagine a big hole in the floor was factory issue, as even my old '55 PW had a leather one as I recall.
