1. You must drive the cones on the trunnion pins and "SHOCK" them against the pin lip. If you don't, you never achieve the proper preload. Use old cones to do it.
2. Drive in trunnion bushings until they seat in the housings
3. No shims on lower cap only gasket
4. Add/remove shims under steering arm to adjust preload.
5. Soak felt seals in oil engine oil overnight then install.
6. Remove lower knuckle screw and pump in grease through steering arm until it comes out the bottom. Take about two tubes. See link.
