Agree 10,000% on using LT rated truck tires. I've had nothing but bad luck with dedicated trailer tires. When I switched over to LT235/85R16-E tires on my trailer, the life of the tread went way up, the handling of the trailer improved immensely, and the failure rate of the tires went to zero. I used to have a catastrophic failure of at least one tire per long trip with dedicated trailer tires. Trailer tires are pure junk.
