Right on! I found State Farm to have far better options without the restrictions the the "classic" insurers like Hagerty offer. Nothing wrong with those insurers, they are just far more stringent. My agent told me that SF offers similar classic vehicle coverages with just as many restrictions and they don't apply if you actually use the vehicles day to day...at least not for the rate most customers are willing to pay.

I never thought of itemizing the higher value parts (I would assume you are referring to the Cummins for example). That is a great idea.

I still laugh. My Agent, who is also a friend, was in a huge hurry to come out and photograph my truck and I needed to have the insurance before I could register it...so he set up a time for me to leave the shop opened. It rained like crazy when he showed up and the drainage in front of the shop was less than optimal so he had to "wade" through the lake out front in his wing tips. It stopped raining as soon as he stepped back in his truck. I make him earn my premiums lol
