Not really. But when I enter one of those things, I just sort of… lose it.

There must be - what? A couple hundred thousand dollars worth of beautiful, shiny, top-of-the-line tools in there. Not that I NEED Snap-on stuff, but I sure enjoy having it, and, yes, actually using it on occasion.

So today, I was at a friend's shop, and there was Mr. Snap-On. Went in, and as I was gazing around, eyes glazed with what I would call a certain demented kind of tool lust, I saw the biggest pair of adjustable pliers/water pump pliers/channel locks I'd ever gazed upon.

These were Knipex, a very high-end German tool that Snap-On carries. As soon as I began fondling this thing, I knew that I wasn't going to leave that truck without it. Twenty-two inch handles, four and a half inch jaws, amazing fit and finish and a really smooth push-button adjustment button system. Looks like something you'd use to extract teeth from a Tryannosaur.

Actually, I needed a big set of adjustables, since my previous Craftsman pair has disappeared. Not cheap (at all), but really a beautiful tool. I'm bringing it up to bed when I turn in tonight...
